Aligned brand content production

We make brand video the way we would make any other film: starting from what a brand actually is, not from a deck of references to somebody else's campaign.

Most briefs arrive with the media plan already fixed, a broadcast cut here, a run of social edits there, a radio script attached almost as an afterthought. We would rather work back from the one thing the film needs to say and let the formats follow it, than stretch a single idea thin to fill a plan someone built before we were in the room.

Dream Makers, a Christmas campaign for Music Maker, is a case of building the concept from nothing rather than executing someone else's script. Our co-founder Mark Logan wrote the story: an invitation to believe in yourself and work towards the future you want, rather than another film asking you to buy something.

Services across a brand commission: script writing, creative direction, social media content creation, photography, production, filming, editing, post production.

What "brand-aligned" means in practice

A lot of brand video reads as generic because it's built from a brand guideline rather than a brand's actual behaviour: the same warm colour grade, the same aspirational voiceover, the same shots of people laughing at nothing. Aligned brand video works the other way round. Fontaines D.C.'s Liberty Belle wasn't styled to look like a Partisan Records release; it was cut from real gig footage and real behind-the-scenes material from recording their debut album, so it reads as the band rather than as marketing about the band.

Social, promo and campaign cuts from one shoot

Most brand briefs need more than one deliverable: a hero film for a launch, a set of shorter cuts for social platforms, a promo video built for a fifteen-second attention span. We plan for that split at the script stage, because a piece of social media content edited for sound-off viewing on a phone needs a different pace and different framing to a hero film meant to be watched with sound on a bigger screen. Treating them as separate jobs from one shoot keeps the shorter cuts from feeling like leftovers.

Working with an in-house marketing team

Not every brand brief comes through an agency. In-house marketing teams commissioning directly usually need more support at the concept stage, since there's no separate creative team writing the brief first. We work either way: to a finished agency script, or from a rougher starting brief that needs shaping into something filmable.

Questions we're usually asked

Can you cut social, broadcast and promo versions from one shoot?

Yes, and we plan the shoot around getting all three rather than treating the shorter cuts as an afterthought.

Do we need an agency, or can we brief you directly?

Either works. Dream Makers, for Music Maker, was developed directly with the client rather than through an agency; other brand work comes to us with an agency script already attached.

What formats do you deliver for social platforms?

Whatever the platform and media plan calls for, agreed at the brief stage: vertical, square, captioned for sound-off viewing.
